In December of 2012, Antonio Augusto Verissimo, Project Coordinator at Rio de Janeiro, Secretaria de Habitacao came to Chicago to present “Morar Carioca,” a municipal urban plan to integrate the informal neighborhoods (favelas) in Rio de Janeiro into the formal urban fabric of the City.
