Marisa, born in Pernambuco and raised in Rio Grande do Sul, earned a bachelor’s in languages. Her enjoyment of different cultures led her to travel around the world. In 1997 she moved to the U.S. In addition to serving as president, she has been Vice President and Chair of the Membership and Youth and Education Committees.
